Great blog posting about Vietnam items on Ebay

We all continually see questions being posted about Vietnam items listed on Ebay and asking if they are real.

Great article! And this sums up exactly why I don't collect the stuff from this very interesting conflict:

I would go as far to say that 99% of the Vietnam War militaria that you can find on eBay are fake

The amount of knowledge I'd need to figure out the 1% that isn't faked is beyond me.

BTW, he has a picture of a bunch of "faked" camouflage uniforms. It's very hard to tell from one small picture like that, but for sure he has part of his caption wrong. Those first two items aren't "faked French", they are most likely legitimate Portuguese. At least from this picture I don't see any signs of them being faked. The Rhodie... looks good from way over here, but odds are it's faked just because. MARPAT and ACU could be legit or faked. The real items are so common and dirt cheap used I don't know why they wouldn't be in that market somewhere.
