    Can anyone please tell me more about this rucksack/daysack?
    Supposed to be Austrian,approx 45 litres,removable lid.

    You're welcome. It's for attaching a hip belt and part of the emergency release system.

    Well, at least it looks sturdy and well constructed. As someone who uses Austrian KAZ75 winter trousers this time of the year (A LOT), I have a special respect for Austrian quality.
