Korps Mariniers Uniforms

Here some recent additions to my collection - please feel free to add images of your own KM clothing.

DPM shirt, Seyntex, 1992




Woodland BDU, US gov't issue, with epaulettes added (velcro fasteners)




DCU, no US gov't tags, doesn't feel to be US made, epaulettes have button fasteners

Here are a few more Korps Mariniers pieces.

This first item comes from a group belonging to a marine named De Boer. It is a little unusual - a child-sized commercial (it seems) woodland pattern suit with KMarns emblem and rank (Majoor der Mariniers) added. The rank is attached with Velcro, since there are no shoulder straps. Perhaps the marine De Boer had this suit made up for his son or nephew to play with?




There is even a name tape sewn above the back pocket on the trousers:

An early M53 helmet. The shell is made in the Netherlands (Verblifa, 1957), and the liner is German (Schuberth, 1953). This helmet was in the same group, so maybe it was also from the marine De Boer.

They're not US issued BDU's, if anyone interested is ordering a batch big enough, these enterprises that make the USarmy BDU, make them as well for any other client, even including their spec's (like epaulettes).

I remember the first batch of woodland KMARNS BDU, they came with OD epaulettes and you could see that they were added after manufacturing.

The Woodland childsize suit is probably dressed up like that yes, the black armpatch wasn't ever meant to be worn on camo suits.


And don't forget about the awesome M83 suit!





Then my M87 summer suit and windproof parka, trousers exist, but I'm still looking for that.






I also have a US type Woodland suit, earlier than Wolverine's, with green epaulets instead of camo.
And a Desert suit of which I have no good photos.

Oh yes and a 1st type Dungaree.




And a khaki shirt, coupled with KL M58 pants to make the KM M76 uniform together.

Excellent! Though I admit a slight bias to the early ones. I still have one of those early HBT tunics myself, and once had a chance to buy one with a second breast-pocket on the other side, but passed for some reason a can't fathom.

Was that a modified one, or a 2nd type? Those have 4 pockets with flaps

Must have been a modified one, because the chest pockets had no flaps, just like the USMC 3-pocket.

That M83 is pretty cool!
