    Could anybody tell me what year this helmet is and if you think the captain's bars and pictures are original to the helmet.

    Post WW2 shell. I think the paint was done outside military use. Cover is the remains of an ERDL pattern. Most common in the 70's and early 80's. Liner looks plastic. if it is, it's not US issue. If it isn't, WW2 if there is a rivet hole in the front, post Korea if it doesn't have the hole.

    The shell looks Vietnam era,liner is one of the European Nato type liners,artwork,done by some bored kid maybe?

    The liner appears to be either Danish or Norwegian.
