I had the good fortune of acquiring a cap to complete my uniform I got awhile back, albeit a different shade.

Re: Blurry Red Tiger Stripe Uniform
Excellent find! This is one of the few patterns I really regretted parting with when I sold off all my South American stuff. I had a couple variants, but the blurry one was my favorite.

Re: Blurry Red Tiger Stripe Uniform
Few reference photos to share for this sweet pattern
Ecuadorian paratroopers
US Marines and Ecuadorian soldiers, 1985
Not sure about this one, but the info that came with it said "Peruvian troops display captured Ecuadorian uniform"
Enjoy!

Re: Blurry Red Tiger Stripe Uniform
Great reference pics! I wonder how old they are - the pic of them rope crossing the river I saw in a book about 25 years ago now? The helmet covers look to be a different tiger pattern altogether - perhaps an earlier version? It almost looks like a South Vietnamese pattern without the red!

Re: Blurry Red Tiger Stripe Uniform
Aside from the high quality shots of the Ecuadoran uniforms, the ones of the US SF advisors is also interesting. Some of them, at least, are wearing the discontinued slant pocket jungle uniforms instead of the Transitional type used from the late 1970s until the early 1980s. Once again proving that Special Forces can wear whatever they darned well please
