    Hello all,

I wanted to show off my French collection and hopefully get advice from you more knowledgeable.

Here is my basic set geared for the FAMAS rifle. Its still very incomplete and I doubt that I'll find the rifle, bayonet, or magazines to go with the set. I believe that the triple grenade pouch is from the older TAP webbing. I've seen photos of what look like first aid pouches from the TAP webbing used on this later style. I have a body armor cover/ carrier?  in CCE camouflage.

I have two canteen pouches one has a pebbled snap and two sets on the body and carries the canteen, cup and stove. The other has a single set of smooth snaps.

Below are some extra items of the TAP webbing and miscellaneous accessories for the MAS36 and MAS49/56.  I like to collect ammunition packets and boxes. One of my eight boxes of 7.5mm and one packet of 8mm.

I'd appreciate any information on the newer webbing about when it was used and what I'm missing. To what extent was older TAP webbing used with the newer sets? Ive only seen the grenade pouches and what looks like first aid pouches.
How did soldiers armed with sniper rifles carry ammunition did they use TAP webbkng or TTA leather pouches or something new? Were any MAS49/56 rifles retained into the FAMAS era for limited issue? (In the same way that the M14 stayed in US service for special purposes)

Is the newer belt buckle plastic or metal?

It is a metal buckle, the keepers are metal and the ends that are used for size adjustment are plastic.

I got a pack today. I have no idea how to configure or pack it, but I'm glad to have it.
