To prevent further questions and discussion and as well as to share some information about camo uniform of military man of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic Uzbekistan I decided to upload some photos and information. Here I’ll show camo patterns which were officially in use (or still in use) in our Army.
Of course we had a lot of officers and sergeants who ordered their camo uniform from cloth of other countries (Russia, USA, etc.) but I’d like to underline that was infringement of regulation.

So, the first type of camo uniform for all branches and services was “mountain-desert”. It was in use since 1994.

German “rain” pattern was in use in 2002-2006 mostly between military man of Special Task forces and Airborne.

In 2006 new camo patterns “mountain-stone” and “mountain-sand” were offered to our Army. These camo types replaced “mountain-desert” and “rain”.

In 2006 especially for Antiterror detachments from the Ministry of Internal affairs were borrowed “shadow” camo pattern.

Finally since May 2009 for all branches and services except Antiterror was offered “pixel” camo, and it’s planned to replace mountain-stone” and “mountain-sand” till 2011.

I should explain that camo cloth could differ because of different place (Bukhara, Russia, China, Belarus) and time of manufacturing. So one camo pattern can have different colors tints and cloth texture.

Interesting! One variation is a lot smoother around the edges than the other. I have a uniform in my collection from an officer who was training here in the US about 9 years ago. It's of the rougher edged variety. I wonder if the differences are different factories or if there was some deliberate switch.
