Very cool uniforms! I like the look of the desert patterned DPM-style camouflage.

Interesting to note how the very bottom uniform is cut almost exactly like the older UK-issued Tropical DPM uniforms, with the epaulets, slanted chest pockets, and button-down belt loops.

Both the DPM inspired shirts were short lived they saw use only through the formative years in the Dubai army(armies were seperate)

I dont have any pictures of forces in this pattern however i have many in the later patterns(US inspired).

The British influenced uniforms are from Dubai and the American was Abu Dhabi during the 1980s. The British had a good influence on us during the formative years hence allot of DPM.

I think this is the same pattern jacket that Gilles posted. The guy I got it from said it was Saudia Arabian, but I've never seen Saudi troops wearing it.

Carl, Gilles, yes the darker 4 color DPM is from Saudi Arabia, I have a friend from U.A.E and he said they are not from there, but rather from saudi arabia.

Yeah I guess they source out their contracts, they do have a national manufacturer of military garments though
