just thought id share my 85 pattern lid in size large

Nice,is the label Israeli or Irish?

hi gulf theres no label apart from size L on the subject of the mistake of cover being tied in the wrong place and the scrim banding being lower over the front i managed to fit mine in reverse and just tuck the string up into the front of the lid you cant tell

IDF helmet? Surely that should be in the Israeli section?

raptor you are absolutely right i will ask the mods to move this to the israeli section asap theres no hebrew label but i quess it has to go over my mistake sorry

Leave it where it is as apart from the labels they are exactly the same helmets so could be used for either Israeli with a Mizfnet thingy or as it is now,Irish.

Both made by Orlite i believe and exactly the same or if not exactly it will only be minor differences.

The Irish P85 helmet is made by Orlite with a few small differances mainly the colour of the internal suspension
Irish green webbing, Israeli black webbing other than that they look the same

mine has the green webbing so must be from the emerald isle guess ill keep it here then to be sure cheers james

No.IDF is Israeli Defence Force.We in the Irish defence Forces dont like being referred to as IDF because of our involvement with UNIFIL in South Lebanon.An operation that cost a fair few Irish soldiers lives both indirectly and directly attributed to IDF actions.

The Irish Defence Forces proper title Is Oglaigh Na hEireann or DFI (Defence Forces Ireland).

Be pedantic as you will friend. I understand and support. Didn't know that UNIFIL Irish contigent had problems with Israel forces. My observation was just years of web search and book reading. No arm intended.
