MK6 Desert DPM Helmet Cover Empty MK6 Desert DPM Helmet Cover

    Post by Camo_fiend Wed Jul 07, 2010 3:31 pm

    Hello all,

Looking for a Desert DPM helmet cover for my MK6, which is a size medium. I'm not exactly sure how the cover sizing works, as my current woodland helmet cover is for "small/medium" helmets and is almost too small to fit (unless I draw it down WAY tight), and I'm afraid if I get a size "large/outsize" helmet cover that there will be a lot of extra material on the underside once I cinch it down.

So, I guess I'm looking for a cover in "medium/large" size to fit on my battle bowler. Cool

I'd prefer to purchase, but could trade depending on what you're after... message me to find out more.

    Cheers.

    Ben

    Hi Ben.

The covers were produced to small,so if you've got a medium, I would get a Large cover ,there will not be too much excess material ,and should be a snug fit.

On my size small mk 6,I fitted a medium to large, and is much better than trying to shoehorn the cover on.

If you check out UK ebay, they generally go for as little as £5.00,but of course the postage may be the killer.

    Hope this helps Wink

Thanks for the info! I had checked the UK eBay, but hadn't really assessed chipping costs yet. I'll look into it.
Shoehorning was what I did with the woodland cover. It looks great once it's on, but if it slips or comes loose... it's a pain in the sit-down place to get re-attached. lol!

    Hi Ben.

No worries glad to help,as you've found out the hard way,the difference in size between Brit lids and covers is vast,I dunno why....we Brits normally pride our selves on qaulity, when when it comes to the covers...it's a different story Smile

    Ben,

I have a pretty nice cover designated for "Small and Medium". Sounds like that's not going to work for you. But if you want to give it a shot I could send it to you for $10 total.

Gary -- Honestly this is the first item of Brit gear that has given me so much troulble! Laughing

Steve -- I'll keep scouring eBay, but if I still can't find one in the size I'm looking for, I will definitely let you know. Thanks!
