    In the absence of rivets is the third model is the last that was.

    some people call this model the M56 / 76

    supposedly because thats when the rivetless model was adopted, but it doesnt make sense because I have a rivetless model with the adjustable snap in liner and my shell is dated 71 made back in 1971

    they should call these the M56 /71 [1971 is the earliest rivetless shell Ive ever heard of or seen]

    I forgot I posted this lid, and I agree with your comments, this one I believe is a mid 60's model, it's in storage right now,so I can't remember the exact stamp on the inside....cheers for looking Wink
