    Hi Guys,

Here's another Jungle shirt from my collection, this one is made from an Air-tex type material, and only has a Field dressing pcket on the Left arm, these Junglies are turning out to be a bit of a mystery, there appears to be many variations, and material, perhaps one day ,I will be able to safely say, which dates they belong to scratch Smile

The Guy I got this one off, said he wore it in Kosovo, but I bought the Jacket, not the story Wink

The label,is the only one in my collection so far that's green in colour.
Maker of this jacket is Cookson &Clegg LTD.

Ah, the beloved airtex junglies. My first-ever DPM item was a shirt like this. It started my whole DPM addiction. Laughing

Laughing Good way to start your DPM fetish/Addiction Ben!!

I have been doing a bit of Research this afternoon, and I believe these Airtex ,are according to some sources A -Current issue ( not sure how they work that one out,as far I'm aware S95,replaced these Jackets !!!! B- Early 90's issued ( seem's more like it !!)

I spent most of the afternoon researching, and to be honest have'nt found any real useful sites,.....Evil or Very Mad

I have also read that the airtex versions are still issued. What puzzles me is how they've not updated them to the 95-style. I've also heard that airtex was late 80s issue, but I can't find any sources to substansiate this rumour, as evrything I've seen points to the wearing of the "heavyweight" trops at that time, even past CS95 issue.

I think the guess that they are closer to current issue is a valid one, as the labelling on my airtex trops is consistent with the newer-issue kit. Perhaps these were produced shortly before 95s, to be used in conjunction with, but since 95s became the across the board issue item, these fell by the wayside, to be worn by the alliest of ally squaddies. Cool

As far as I can work out,the Airtex types are the latest versions, and in fact are similiar to S95 Airtex found on the Desert jackets!!!

There's just not enough info, to substansiate when, and what materials were in use,in a given time frame...most annoying, but at least they do indeed look the Alliest, of the Ally,in the kingdom of Allyville Cool Laughing
