    Soviet Mosin Nagant Rifle

Post by Flecktarn92 on Mon Mar 21, 2011 5:04 pm

Hi, well I finally bought gun. This is my second, my first being an old Remington 511 .22. I got it for about $160, but with tax and some ammo it came out to $197. It is dated 1942 and apparently has never been used as it has been sitting in a warehouse since then. It came with a bunch of extra stuff from a cleaning kit to ammo pouches to my favorite a bayonet.

    The bayonet

The date and stamp of the Soviet Union

Very neat and beautiful condition! Most of the Nagents that turn up locally are usually beaten and cosmoline soaked. Very Happy

Its in great condition but there still is a load of cosmoline on it, but nothing a good cleaning can't handle.

    Oliver,
The old Mosin Nagant 91/30s are good shooters. I have one and it's little brother the shorter carbine which I got from Century Arms up in Vermont. I put the P/U scope on the shorty and it was great for hunting coyotes when I lived up in the mountains. Easy Off oven cleaner works well on the cosmoline. Have fun shooting your rifle. Sgt P.
