It was definitely used during OP Granby and while i have no proof it was an SAS trooper i dont know of any regular Soldiers wearing these during the conflict but plenty of pics of SAS troopers wearing them.

Agreed , there is plenty of pictures to back up your thoughts , when the cuffs were added its a good sign someone was a old school show off to the lads !!!

To be honest it was a very nice surprise to me when it arrived as i bought it to go with my WW2 stuff but now is one of my favourite bits and takes pride and place in my Gulf collection

I also have 2 pairs of the trs(both WW2 dated) that go with the smock but the smock has been sunbleached so badly its almost white!!!

when I first looked at it I thought it was white also !!!!
But white in the desert would work also , but then I seen the tan , is there sun marks where the webbing was worn ?
