That's a 1st Model jacket. 2nd Model didn't have internal pockets. The one you have is commercial production, not government issue. There's no contract number on it (SPM1 etc. as seen on your trousers) and Propper's big logo is only on the commercial stuff IIRC. But as far as I know the only difference between this and the genuine issue is the commercial stuff is assembled in Honduras (from US cloth).

The jacket has evidence of Name and Branch tapes and also sleeve rank so would Airmen purchase these privately?

Well , actually I want them just for wearing, I guess you could say I "collect" in a sense , but only looking for one pair of each of the types I am looking for , I am also looking for some of the hats in 7 1/2 ,I have my "want/trade/sell list under the "wanted" section of the forum here.
