I will always have a soft spot for Moleskins Rich.

I remember years ago owning a pair, and my Gran couldn't get her head around why the "Jerries" would make trousers with holes near your "willy" ( you know the purpose built ventilated holes in the crutch) .. sorry mate bit off topic..but Moleskins always remind me off my Gran's comments and make me smile Smile

Cracking kit. I remember buying a pair whilst Interrail touring Europe the first time and thingking how great they were . Then my friends seeing them in the UK when I got back and all wanting a pair. Then, a few months later EVERYONE had them !

I still have several pairs - incliding the para and Gebirgsjager versions. They'll survive a nuclear war along with cockroaches ! Very Happy

Moleskin is one of the most comfortable and generally good looking uniforms ever made. My humble opinion Wink Obviously a lot of people agree because as the supplies of the real items dries up the commercial production keeps going on and on. For those out looking to get genuine kit, be most everything "new" on eBay is commercial.

BTW, there are 4 distinctly different models. 1963-1967, 1968-1972, 1973-1985, and 1986 through the late 1990s (Flecktarn was phased in slowly).
