    Mint 30+ year old trousers







    These are often sold as 'SAS' issue but are the standard issue windies with velcro at the bottom of the legs to facilitate donning and doffing over boots.

    Dave am I right in saying thay were originaly designed as over trousers ?

    Yep, spot-on. Over either your green lightweights, or '68 pattern DPM's and with the quilted Chinese fighting suit trousers. Or long johns, quilted suit and windies.

    I do like HE Textiles gear. It appears they had the main contract on Windproofs in the 1970s. I have a 59 pattern para smock made by them and it just feels better made than some of the other manufacturers.
