SAS Cap Badge Australian ?

Hi Guys.

I was wondering if anyone can confirm if this SAS cap badge is Australian?

It appears to be fairly old and has signs of it once having been in a beret,I do not think it is a repro at least.

Any help to ID this one would be very much appreciated

Nope Gary,the Aussie and NZ ones are two tone silver and gold.

Have a couple somewhere if i can find them will post up pics.

I would hazard a guess a cheap old repro?

Thanks Rich, I'm not sure at all hence posting it up, I would be keen to see your examples for though

A few years back Ebay and army and navy shops were swamped with type of badge you have-all of those at the time were made of a copper type material-not brass or bronzed.

Am in the process of sorting through all the pics on my PC so pretty sure ill come accross some pics of my SASR berets and badges.

Graham,the pics were taken a while back and not sure where the berets are now to check but pretty sure that yes they are embroidered directly onto the berets or from memory definitely one is and the other could be a patch.

Will try to find them and check when i get a chance.
