    Danish canvas boots

Danish canvas boots. Made in 1994. I've never seen photos of them in use. Maybe they're for tropical climates. They have an HMAK stamp on the tongue.

    Hey Carl,

Nice ones! Pretty good condition too. Are the toes steel capped?

And I believe we need Henrik C. to verify this one; but I suspect these boots were issued to some of the first contingents of Danish peacekeeping troops in the Balkans in the early 90's.

They do indeed look to be made for hotter climates. The Danish ripstop M/84 uniforms are still being referred to as 'Balkan's' as they were first introduced there - the Norse troops were melting in their heavy twill gear...

    I would say field.

The regualar Danish M/58 leather boots of the same build, are quite solid enough in the toe section, I suspect the canvas material was too 'floppy' and so steel caps were needed to retain shape and for protection. But armoured is another good bid, really sh4pak.
