    Hi,
    This is something my mom bought at an auction, and it has 3 bullet holes (all entrance holes). I assume it's WWI, and it almost appears it's a combat dug relic. What do you guys think? Thanks.

    If it's French, it's post-WW1. WW1 French helmets are blue. WW2 were green. It might be a WW1 Belgien one tho. Without the badge on the front, it's hard to tell

    Wow...Andrew,as a complete helmet addict,I can say that ,this really is a fanatastic find..... I just feel sorry for the guy,wearing it at the time...Hang on to this one,this is and will continue to be very collectable Cool

    I don't know, but it looks like it was used as shooting target. Not enough rust around the holes.

    Good point,I needed to zoom in,and check out the holes,I think your right....damn shame to use this lid for pot shots.. Wink
