Fantastic stuff. I never knew they made plastic paratrooper helmets.

    Excellent collection!!

The plastic helmet looks nearly identical to the Czech type. Is it?

A question about the "Discoanzug" (heh... funny nickname!). I've heard some people say this is for paras only, I've had others which say it isn't. I've got top and bottom myself, so I'm curious what the story is about this item.

These Liner are only for paras! There are other inner liner for the Mot. Schuetzen but they look different.

Ps: Sorry for my bad english! Embarassed

Lotsa neat stuff! Looks like you only collect field items as there are no dress uniforms, usv. Where did you find the 2 parachutes?
I have a bunch of NVA FS stuff, both field and dress. Should have had more, but only had a small interest when the wall came down and e Germany colapsed. Really to bad as there was a lot of NVA stuff in the flea markets in Berlin in those days. There were also vendors set up along the street around the Brandenburg Tor who also had lots of stuff.
I saw items in those early days that have never shown up anywhere since.
I was up at Stendall in the early days and never went looking for the FS kaserne, also a big mistake!!!

Nice collection. I've been concentrating on NVA Fallschirmjäger uniforms, equipment, badges, etc for about 6 years now. I another collector started an NVA Fallschirmjäger / Paratrooper collectors page on Facebook a few months ago that highlights some of the items in our collections. He is focused on field gear, I collect just about anything related to NVA Fallschirmjägers.

The FB page is at: https://www.facebook.com/pages/NVA-Fallschirmj%C3%A4ger-Paratrooper/120662464701769

I always thought NVA para berets were orange, but I might be mistaken. Very nice collection whatever the case might be.

NVA Paratroopers wore two berets, the grey with the field uniform and the orange one with the dress uniform.
