    Salut Guys.

Here's one of my favourite French Parka's to show you, very similar in concept to the famous German Parka with removable fleece liner, but the fit and feel of these French Parka's are superior in my humble opinion. As can be seen from the Photos the parka is dated 1986 and the liner is dated 1981.The sizing of these F1 parka's are deceiving too, this one is a 92L, L meaning long. So if you want to buy one, get a size smaller than normal...anyway hope you liked my ad hoc review of this fantastic Parka Smile

Right off the bat, I can see why you'd prefer it to the Bundeswher. The fitted sleeve closures. One of the things that irritates me about the German parkas is the fact that, in the rain, if you're doing anything that involves lifting overhead, you get rain up the sleeve. Nice piece, Gary.

First may I congratulate you on leaving a reply to one of my French posts, you are the first and probably the last, I guess all things French are not to popular here Laughing

And I totally agree , these Parka's are pretty good, with the sleeve thing, far superior design to BW stuff, but at the same time very similar in design Wink

I keep up on your French collection, Gary-- mostly because I agree that French kit is superb, and I'm quite impressed with the amount of it you've managed to acquire. I have difficulty finding it here.

    Cheers,

    Great cheers Mate Smile

And yeah I am on a complete Franco-kit journey at the moment.

I can well imagine it's not too common on your shores, it's not excactly too comon over here, but not hard either to source.

Now if it was DPM, you would be overwhelmed with it, in fact maybe bored of seeing it, hence my need to source French kit Wink

    Hi Gary,

This parka was very useful during the cold winter morning in Germ&ny. Specially during my training period when I had to get my breakfast in a different part ot the garrison. We were wearing a blue track suit (we were looking as smurfs)and crappy thin white trainers. We were allowed to wear the parka but we had to roll the hood. Further then, it was very useful during guards.
