Nice one. I must admit... I have no such amount of intel on my badged uniforms. Did you do the research yourself, or did the seller provide it?

I researched it myself. The seller said that the pocket patch was an artillery patch so I did a google search and it matched up with the 5th Field Artillery. Likewise I googled the name and rank. A lot of it was guesstimation as well. Being that the shirt is dated 1963 and the original wearer's final rank was SP4, I deduced that he was most likely a draftee who was inducted into the service around 1964 when he was 23 and had served in Vietnam around the 1965-66 timeframe.
