Clown camo 77 patt para smock Empty Clown camo 77 patt para smock

Nice 77 pat smock I picked up this week with a hidden twist.

The main body is made from once bolt of cloth and the rest like all the pockets both main and flaps and the para flap are all dotty camo.

Very early example with newley flat head poppers.

Used condition with patches applied with white glue ?

Never heard 'clown camo' used to describe a British camo before ....... I have heard it used to describe Russian (snipers coverall ? )

Still, nice score. What size is it ? Looks small. 170/96 ?

It's about 170/104 so a good useable size.

The term clown clown camo comes from Vietnam ERDL clothing. The camo ERDL was made in lots of shades and it was common to see a garment made from 2-3-4 bolts of cloth. This gave the garment a unique look and collectors have coined this as clown camo ,
Due to clowns costumes being made from different cloths.
