Post by Bolty717 on Tue Jun 11, 2013 10:21 pm

These are the training pants. 70% cotton, 30% Polyester. Made in NZ, but manufacturer not on label. Knee pads are made by Crye Precision. Padded waist band, with Velcro adjusters at ankles and knees. 2 hand and 6 cargo pockets.

Knee area, with 1 pad left out. Pads are easy to fit and veclcro is sew in to pants to match velcro on pads.

Upper waist area and small from pockets.

Inside these pockets are the height adjusters for the knee area.

Rear of knee area with velcro adjusters.

    Lower ankle pockets.

Large side pockets which have a small flat internal pocket for GPS? or maybe small cell phone.

Internal shock cord adjuster, and slotted buttons.

Waist velcro ajusters and padded back area.

    Thanks for sharing Bolty.

If I know NZDF items, then this uniform will be difficult to obtain.

Yeah the operational pants are FR, so use and abuse the trg pants till deployment. Some trades get the FR gear for use already (Armoured Crews, Pet Ops, High Readiness)  Im going to put up the other items as well, Im home sick with a lung infection and there fark all on TV.

I was suppose to a range shoot at Linton, was looking forward to using some of the other new items with the MVS to see how they interfaced together.

What time is it there lads?Your last post here Bolty read 19.32.
BTW Its pissing rain here today as well after two weeks of a heatwave!Crying or Very sad
Anyway.I like the pants.Pocket design looks good as does the padded waist.I have to say that I am not keen on the velcro ankles and the removable kneepads.Too unmilitary looking IMHO but that's just because I am too used to using twisties.Looks are less important than functionality though.
