afternoon gents ,here's my collection ,soft caps first and one of my m56 stahlhelms next up is my torso display ,the uniform is the first generation with a K stamp also 66 can be found so i assume made 1966 initially i wanted to just see how the display would look with my soviet tanker helmet ,ive opted for the m56 as it just fits in better visually with the kit my ddr items 001_zps27d55e47my ddr items 002_zps678098b4my ddr items 040_zps2bce6548my ddr items 049_zps50527c57my ddr items 047_zps9f4fd9a1my ddr items 044_zpsc71e07d3

Very nice set up. Nothing better than a complete East German Rain Camo uniform!

    Great display!

East German kit is great stuff, for sure. Have a fair bit of it myself -- all I'm missing is a set of jackboots and a helmet cover.

A friend of mine was just remarking about how years ago he played paintball in a 100% head to toe DDR setup and everybody thought it was really cool. Even more so that some of the exotic stuff he was known to wear.

many thanks for the nice compliments guys ,it was fun putting all the bits together into one display ,ive still got some way to go but in time it will be complete ,the strichtarn pattern is one that dose'nt get much interest but most of the post war warsaw pact countries adopted there own versions of it ,it looks to be quite an effective cammo in a woodland setting ,thanks again

Strichtarn is getting more and more difficult to find. I've seen chinese knockoffs already!

    Howdy partner:
At first glance it does seem the uniform used in the 70/80.
The SMG PPsh 41, until the 60's followed employee.

    A better Ak.

About the UTV, I pass the link to my blog, where I believe praise will clarify all doubts, although this in Spanish have a translation bar.

carlos your blog is really good and i learn a lot ,luckily for me google translate ,my english not so good ,my spanish even worse Smile i notice the jack boots have been discontinued to the shorter laced boot style also the later water bottle looks huge compared to earlier one ,i wonder if i can use this m10 gas mask bag with my display ,the m10 nbc hood is dated 1986 so a little too modern but the bag  might work, what do you think  my ddr items 027_zps324134cbmy ddr items 028_zps4f356b71
