OG-107 RDF Coat?

I was scouring for some jungle jackets when I came across this OG-107 RDF jacket, dated 1978 post-'Nam. The labeling appears to be "legit", but I have never seen this before. Can anyone confirm, or have any info on it? Thanks, Nate

Yup, that's legit. There's a pretty good thread talking about the OD and camo versions somewhere on this Forum.

There's also a SUPER RARE poplin, non-ripstop, version in OD. IIRC it was made in 1976. Definitely experimental.

I have one of those poplin ones in almost mint condition. not sure where it is now, but I know I still have it. I think I have a badged rip-stop one too. I'll have to look around.

The 1978 example, like the one linked to above, is hard to find but was not technically experimental. It was limited issue for sure before they moved to M81 Woodland. However, apparently it was issued for a while afterwards. Someone on this Forum posted pics of his unit wearing them into the 1980s (101st Airborne, IIRC).

I just dug out the pics of the labels from a poplin uniform in the "RDF" cut. Turns out it is in ERDL print and not OD! From this I found:

1. Contract was in 1975
2. Made on behalf of Defense Logistics Support Center
3. At least three models (Model B and Model C are the ones I have pics of)

I'm sure I've seen an OD poplin version dated 1976, which would make sense because they did eventually make the RDF type in OD.
