I found this today in an antique store.

It has what appears to be pink paint on the right sleeve.

I've heard that the jacket was sometimes worn by SAS.  Could it be possible that someone near a freshly painted Pink Panther Land Rover accidentally leaned on it, or would the jacket have been phased out by then?

Could be any paint as they were mainly used as working clothing,eg for doing crappy chores around camp like painting coal white etc.

Did have a WW2 dated set of Blouse and Trs but sold them(and regret it).

Have been lucky recently in that I have managed to find an early blouse, type with the pleated pockets so am quite chuffed at that.

The 41 dated blouse I have is the type with pleated pockets Richard, the 45 dated example I am after does not. It will be good to have both types but both war time dated.

Regarding the early blouse Jerry,I was always of the understanding that the early ones were a brown colour, later ones(and Post War) a green colour-my pleated pocket blouse is Green.

    Thanks

The 41 dated example I have is greenish, though if the earlier versions were brownish I can't say Richard. I managed to get the 45 dated example without pleats from the bay.
