    Not sure which pattern as never had one of these before. Mint condition,shame label is missing.

    Thanks Dwayne,wasnt 100% sure as never owned one before. Shame label is missing and not named as the owner was mentioned in dispatches.

    He probably took the label out himself because it had his name on it. He didn't want some tramp to get hold of it and go round begging in it, pretending to be the original owner fallen on hard times. I've seen quite a few WW1 officers' tunics with the label removed, and a dealer who was also a WW2 veteran (this was quite a few years ago) told me that's why they did it.
