4 Colour DPM Shirts and Trousers.

All came together,no label or markings and slight differences to both shirts.Trousers have sewn in creases.

Any ideas please?

Gorgeous pattern. Have not seen this version before, very nice.

Not quite as vibrant as its army counterpart, though.

The trs are a bit brighter than both shirts in reality.

The colors remind me of Bahraini, but I've constantly been confused by oddball items that don't seem to fit the known examples I have pics of. The key here are the shirt pocket style, I think.

i think is more like bahrein for the colors, they are a lot more faint... the omani air force has a deeper green on it,,, i can be wrong

I know Qatar also has a faint dpm pattern, but i think the yellow is a bit brighter

Absolutely and definitely not Portuguese. Zero doubt about that. The pattern looks different for starters, but the cut of the Portuguese stuff is entirely different. No, this stuff is Middle Eastern for sure. The three places to concentrate on are:

Bahrain
Oman
Qatar

All three of these countries used 4 color DPM desert over a fairly long period of time. The documentation of their use is poor and I'm sure there are quite a few variations over time. Which makes things more complicated. For example, here are a bunch of recent high resolution photos of Qatari forces:

Note that there's quite a variation of the uniforms in these pictures. They are also in the US DCU/BDU cut and not British, however that could have changed over the years.

There are no doubt a few other countries that used it for periods of time.

The bugger of it is usually the countries have either their own distinctive coloration or distinctive cut. This one is in British cut, which knocks some countries off the suspect list.

I sold a Portuguese airforce set last night.  You can see from these pictures it looks nothing like what you have:

Note that one major difference is that it's 3 color  The army version looks even less like what you have, so that's a non-starter as well. Plus, both are in ripstop and not smooth fabric. Beyond that, the Portuguese have been pretty consistent with their uniform styles over the years.  What you have looks nothing like those uniform designs.  On the other hand, what you have is 100% consistent with British uniform styles worn by Middle Eastern countries.

There's nothing Portuguese about your kit, there's everything Middle East about it. In a court of law, the obligation would be for the side that thinks it's Portuguese to prove their case, not the other way around. Fortunately we're not in a court of law and even better it doesn't really matter

Nope, not offended at all We all have, at one time or another, planted a flag and insisted on something that didn't turn out to be correct. Well, at least the active collectors have all done this at some point. Whomever is insisting this is Portuguese will hopefully realize that this is what they are doing.

I do wish someone with better detailed knowledge of ME DPM use would stop in here and give some better direction. It's a topic I was just starting to get a handle on when I decided to part with all my ME uniforms.

I would all so go with the middle east but as there is a miriard of patterns in that part of the world it is hard to say which country but Im not sure its Oman Air Force
