Re: utv webbing
Great set as ever.
Have steered clear of this as a bit too modern for my liking but do have a few bits knocking about that came in trades etc.

Re: utv webbing
thanks richard ,to be honest mine came in dribs and drabs too ,when i was naive enough to add the ammo pouches etc to the earlier webbing untill i was told otherwise ,i finally added the webbing and belt to put all the loose pieces together ,it made sense as i could only find these on ebay germany ,perhaps they are not so surplus anymore ,ive often heard this utv webbing was loosely copied from the british p58 ,the belt clasp certainly backs up this theory ,not that i would have much confidence using it in the field unless the belt was real tight ,by the way that is not me inside that league of gentlemen nbc suit ,its just my display frame

Re: utv webbing
Some people pay good money to dress up in gear like that
Doubt NBC kit of any nation would be the most pleasant of things to wear for any length of time but that EG rubber Gummi stuff must have been hell.

Re: utv webbing
thats true mate ,what ever floats there boats , yes i bet the non breathable rubberized cloth material would make you sweat buckets especially in the one piece version ,wether you would fair any better in the two piece is another matter of which im not willing to find out ,this suit was packed away in strorage and it was my intention to keep it that way but i just had to open it and found the date stamp of which was 1979 ,so quite a vintage

Re: utv webbing
well i managed to repack it but not as neat as the factory packing but my inquisitive mind got the better of me ,i wonder what the two strings were for on the rear of the utv webbing ,im speculating the nbc pack may have been allocated for this area but not 100 percent

Re: utv webbing
Hey guys,
following some phots of my UTV Uniform and webbing.
UTV stands for "Uniformtrageversuch". In this form it was never issued to the troops, as Germany reunited before it was supposed to come in use.
The new uniform was featured with a new pocket layout und without shoulderstraps. Furthermore the pistol pholster inside disappeared. It was something like USA BDU.
The pockets of the trousers were attached outside now.
The webbing was basically a copy of the british webbing.
I have:
the webbing
the holster
grenade pouch
magazine pouch
gas mask pouch
spade pouch
field cantine

Re: utv webbing
The holsters seem to be the most difficult to find.
