In Search of Camo Empty In Search of Camo

Post by CamoCollector Mon May 01, 2017 12:40 am

    Hi,

My name is chad and I'm relatively new to collecting uniforms, I have done Jeeps, Motorcycles, and a few other odds and ends along the way. Now I guess I have a new and expensive addiction.

I am in search for oddball and cool stuff but here are the patterns I am most looking for,

    Czech Clouds pattern
    Czech Leibermuster
    Finnish M/05 (any version)
    Greek Seaweed
    Greek Desert Tiger Stripe
    Polish Splinter
    Polish "Fingers" Pattern
    Latvian LATPAT
and just about anything else that looks cool!

PM me if you have anything in mind,
    Chad

Chad, if you're after Finnish M/05, a website called Varusteleka has M/05 in stock. They are based in Finland, 100% legit. Great customer service and fast shipping to the US.

The government-held copyrights to this pattern expired late last year, and the restriction on reproducing or selling the pattern went away. Varusteleka acquired scores of genuine fabric and had their own runs of kit made for retail. Their brand is made exactly like the issued kit, with only minor tweaks to certain features. Each item has the changes made from the issued originals plainly listed on their sales page if you're curious. It's extended pockets, a new zipper here, some extra elastic for comfort there, etc. Cosmetically, you can't tell a difference until you look at tags.

They also acquired some actual issue overruns from a now-defunct defence supplier (minus the Finnish Defence property tags, removed per law). These have been offered for sale on their site as well.

    If you're interested:

Good luck on the LatPat...it's an elusive one to track down for sure; but it is out there. Smile

That's a cool smock-- and one would not feel too much a fool wearing it around town. Thanks for the links, Mr. Fiend.
