I suspect these are reproductions sold on Ebay, can anyone confirm if they are good or bad?

Re: Finnish para patches
These are reproductions.
I know for certain because I asked the maker to reproduce a few Finnish patches for me, incuding those 2..

Re: Finnish para patches
Thanks for the info. In one way I'm glad they are pretty easy to tell apart from the originals and in the other it's just sad that the this crap makes it in to the marked.

Re: Finnish para patches
You are welcome..
When I asked maker (militrader ) to reproduce a few Finn para patches, there was really little chance for me to ever find correct pieces.
Maker decided there is a market for them and made spares to sell without any input from me.
I would have preferred that he not do that, but it's obviously out of my control.
This vendor and others like Verusteleka ( subdued patches ), do provide a service to many collectors who cannot find proper patching.
It is not terribly difficult for a collector who is willing to do some research to discern differences between repros and genuine, especially these pieces..

Re: Finnish para patches
The Finnish patches are pretty easy to tell apart from the originals, but some of the other ones Miltrader are selling is more difficult to judge by the pictures. I just can't understand why someone will buy reproductions that are actually more expensive than the originals, but that I guess is for a discussion in another thread. Anyway, thanks for the information.

Re: Finnish para patches
Subdued Verusreleka task patches, flags and rank insignia are supposedly being used in the field by some Finn soldiers.
When considering Miltrader one should understand the products are mostly reproduction.
Most American collectors are not looking for American insignia. There is plenty here.
Many non American patches / insignia are not available in the US, and are difficult, or impossible for US collectors to find, and very expensive when they are available.
I guess Miltader offers a service for those who dont mind non originals.
