German French Brigade Hat

I was digging through a bin at a surplus store looking for an early production Flecktarn hat (89/90) and I stumbled across this! I am not a very knowledgeable collector when it comes to variations in cuts or prints, but I am pretty sure the early caps had wool liners on the top. Then again I thought the early prints were more brighter in color and slowly became more earthy toned in 1999. This has no date of manufacture so maybe it is a first year 1989 print? The cooler part is the unit!
