It is funny...considering how much Russian/Soviet stuff I have...I basically have almost NO VSR....go figure...I have a few schofield pattern sets...I may have a set of 2 of VSR...I will have to look into it..

I love VSR Very Happy I've got something like a half dozen uniforms, each one different from the other. I thought I could sell some off but found that I couldn't bear to be without the variety Smile The hats are in even more variations. I have probably a dozen of them and only one or two match the uniforms.

Nice canteen covers! I've never seen those before.

The OPFOR set is probably legit, less the badging Wink Again, so many color variations out there... no way to tell what is real and what isn't except by the cut. Some in the correct cut are commercial, but everything not in the correct cut obviously are Smile

The OPFOR set is commercial , the guy bought it out of a catalog LOL , The patches are his when he was a Instructor for training the guys playing the baddies , they only let him wear it to class once before they standardized the baddies in OD unis only LOL , dont want the good guys seeing how good the enemies camo is in the field LOL !!!

    Hi Steve,
I noticed that this VSR jacket is a 4 pocket type (no lower front pockets). Does this jacket have an internal holster?
    Just curious.
    Thanks,

Thanks for the info on your uniform Steve. I assume that it looks like this inside the uniform.

This is a version (4 pocket, no holster, no divided cargo pockets on pants) that I’ve seen in Flora and VSR camo patterns.

Here is the VSR 4 pocket uniform with internal holster.

VSR uniforms are underrated by collectors - it is actually a beautiful pattern with lots of color variations. VSR is getting harder to find too. I imagine people will be paying big bucks for these uniforms in the not-too-distant future.

I agree , it is one of my favorite patterns !! and prices are already going up , I used to get mint sets for around $50 , now thats hard to find , now they seem to be around $100 and up , and most is commercial .

I agree too! I think I have 6 different sets simply because I love the different color variations. I haven't looked at them in detail for many years, but I think all the ones I have are standard 6 pocket types.

I agree, early 1990s examples are going to go the way of the TTsKO. Now excuse me gentlemen, I must step out to secure a bag of milk.... (*darts away in search of a few sets of VSR*).
