    Here it is.
There's a white label inside the lower front, almost washed out entirely, but there seem to be remnants of a few Greek looking letters
    in blue ink.

The Greeks use straight edged/cornered pleated pockets, so this is consistent with that. Turks, however, also use the same style for their uniforms. Both have a history of OD uniforms, but I don't know the details of either. So if you see what looks to be Greek lettering, I'm sure it's Greek.

It is a greek Jacket. Somewhere I read that these were used during the 1970s and 1980s.
But I can't verify it until now.

On an unrelated note, is that an Israeli canteen in the photo?

Yes it is, I could take more photos of it if you'd like.
It was supposedly bought by a Dutch guy in Lebanon who wanted an extra canteen, he sanded off most of the Israeli markings on the bottle itself.
The pouch doesn't have the regular external markings, but a white label inside.

And thanks for ID-ing the jacket as 70's-80's, as that is what I as hoping it to be from, as I might make a loadout from that era sometime in the future.

Yes, if you have a chance I would be interested in seeing more details on the cover and canteen. I think I have a set nearly the same as that.

Others I've seen also had the British type C-belthooks.

greek army M71 combat uniforms in service 1971 to 1994...underwent at least one simplification towards the end of itsservice life...US BDU style waist tabs instead of ripcord elimination of epauletes and US BDU-81 style wrist tabs...here you have the early original M71 PATTERN long before the final simplifications took place...
