Can anyone confirm if this uniform is Ukrainian or Belarussian? The pockets are an unusual design and I haven't seen those buttons before...

I'd say Belarus, or at least definitely not Ukraine. Ukraine uses the standard Soviet cut, Belarus sometimes likes to experiment with fashion. I've seen pointed pockets on some of their uniforms. Also, if Ukraine was going to have a crested button it would have the military's trident seal on it.

Well, that's unexpected! I can't recall seeing any other uniforms of this design in Ukrainian service. One off experiment or have I missed others?
