The A one is 3rd Army. The other is the 81st "Wildcat" Infantry Division. The Indian head is, of course the 2nd Infantry Division.

I don't know if this will help or not, but your's came out of Ft. Bragg, or at least a surplus store located there that set up at that show Arch and I went to. So, you pretty well guess that there was an 82nd patch or some other unit under the 82nd on the sleeve.
    Andrew

PS: Arch's and your's are exactly the same. He only bought one of the two. They were at the same booth.

Interesting. Actually I got it off from one member at USMF. I'm not sure where he is located at. I'll have to check package in trash bin for return address. If it's near Fort Bragg, it would be very interesting.

Okay, I just noticed something about your Legaspe DCU. There is a laundry number starting with an A but a nametape that starts with an L. Are there signs of previous ownership on this one? If not, as much as I hate to say it, it might not be real.

The 2nd ID modified set is perfectly legit. Not unusual for DCU's to have different laundry letters/numbers than their name tapes. Several different possiblities as to why and they are discussed in depth on the link Merc provided. More than likely...this uniform was modified for a Stryker Team member. Good piece and I'd be proud to have it in my collection.
