3rd ID patches

Hi Guys,
I have some 3rd ID patches, both dress and subdued from '72-'75 as well as some of my buddies name tags for fatigues. All are unused and clean. I will eventually offer them for sale here but first I would like to find out what they are worth. If anyone could help I would appreciate it.

Welcome to IACMC. Your patches are worth about $3 a peice retail for the color and about $1 for the Subdued ones. Now, I can't tell you much about the nametapes except that unless it's someone's name (as in the buyer's name), it's hard to sell.

I agree with Andrew. Who, I might add, just sold me a more modern subdued 3ID badge

I usually find modern stuff at either $0.50 or $1.00 a piece for things made within the last 20-30 years. What you have tango1niner is a little more valuable relative to the other stuff because if someone is badging a Vietnam piece the later stuff doesn't usually look the same. I agree with Andrew that $3 is about right.

The nametapes are a different thing. There were so many types used in Vietnam and many continued to be made just like it into the 1990s. So it's pretty easy to find a $0.50 cent nametape and have it fit the uniform nicely.
