Re: ERDL Dickie/Bib
they were very popular in the early 60's and the ARVN seemed to like wearing them !
Im not sure this one is Issue , but they were worn by the U.S. and South Vietnamese .

Re: ERDL Dickie/Bib
It doesn't exactly looks like a ERDL nor ARVN ERDL. Something seem off about this camo I see that it is made by Hallmark. I guess it is commercial purchased? I may be wrong though.
In vietnam War, the bib is popular, usually worn with OG-107 uniform.

Re: ERDL Dickie/Bib
Aren't these supposed to be worn by color guard units and called something else? I can't recall the name at the current moment. But on the other hand, I did find one in desert with an 82nd ABN Patch on it.

Re: ERDL Dickie/Bib
They are worn by honor guards, color guards, on ceremonial details, by some MP's/SP's on duty. They are called ascots.. I have a red one from an arty guy, and 2 camo ones from a Nam vet. One is almost a tiger stripe, the other is an ARVN one made from a camo parachute. Wore these a lot in ROTC.. Wore a blue one while in the Sinai with a UN logo on it. I hated these things!!!!!
