US Special Forces Helmets Empty US Special Forces Helmets

Post by nkomo Tue Jun 01, 2010 2:14 am

I am REALLY excited to get these two helmets. I have been after both of these for quite some time now and was finally able to seal the deal a little bit ago. These are plastic Pro-Tec helmets used by US Special Forces personnel. Personally....I'm thinking CAG (Delta) use. I know where both of these helmets came from and know they can from the HUGE sell-off of Special Forces equipment/uniforms in the mid to late 90's.

The half-head helmet has NINJA painted on the back of it. This one also has a helicopter pilots liner inside for added protection.

Full-head helmet has been drilled in front for NVG mount. Both of these helmets have been used quite a bit.

It really sadden me that those original helmets are so hard to find because of the airsofters.

Not an airsofter but "all is fair in love and war" and collecting.Basically money talks. My beef would be on the fanboys who reproduce and pass these helmets off as originals. With modified items solid provenance is a must.My 2 cents.

Personally, I'm not sure what moral right collectors have over airsofters to surplus kit ...... I say that a someone who definately does not nor has ever done airsoft. You might even argue that at least they use the stuff rather than just dump it into a crate or sit and drool over it Rolling Eyes

Whoever gets it- well, gets it ! Laughing

I think you summed up the situation perfectly. Air-soft is not my cup of tea, but they can do whatever they want with their items. However, when they try to pass off and sell their "tactical" used items as being 100% SF used, then that is where the problem arises.
