Aviator Wings on officer's uniforms? Empty Aviator Wings on officer's uniforms?

Regulations say, pretty clearly, that officers do not wear Aviator Wings on their uniforms. Is this true in practice? If not, what are the exceptions?

Dress and Field uniforms (for this sort of badge there is no difference).

For some reason I didn't go to the US Army's Heraldry website to look for clarification. Stupid me Wink I just did that now and it appears if someone is an officer, from the start, he never gets access to this award. If he instead works his way up the ranks he can:

"An officer awarded an Aviation Badge while serving in an enlisted status is authorized to wear the badge as a permanent part of the uniform"

So I think this answers my question Smile

Aviator Wings on officer's uniforms? Empty To clear up some confusion

Remember that there is a difference between Aviator Wings and Aviation Badge. One is for Air crews while the other is for pilots. Wings for flying for officers are always worn while aviation crew wings tend to be earned by enlisted men
