Thanks Mate, and there are many Euro M1 clones, Austria ,Belgium, the Danes,Germany, the Dutch, and Norway, all produced, or were supplied with M1 clones.

As a collector of US M1's,these European M1 types, are of interest to me,and are relatively cheap, and easy to get hold of.

    Thanks for looking Smile

Blue M58 helmets like these also exist with the liner painted in the same colour as the helmet. They were used in the first UN missions Norway participated in and you don't see these as often as the standard olive green ones. Three or four years ago the last M58 disappeared from the military system when the Home Guard were issued the new kevlar helemts.

Here's another one, with the original US style chinstraps, this one came with the woodland cover, I have seen many other M-58's with US covers.

Do you mean UN Blue color helmets? Been looking for a Norwegian one.

I have heard they purchased these helmets from Denmark and that all M58s have Danish markings on them. Does anyone know if this is true?

I have also heard that the helmets came from Denmark, but my Norwegian helmet has no Danish markings. The webbing in the liner is stamped Haeren (Army), typical of Norwegian items. Otherwise, it seems identical to a Danish M48.
