    Heartbreak Ridge Empty Heartbreak Ridge

    Post by AndrewA74 Mon Jun 21, 2010 12:06 am

Heartbreak Ridge is a 1986 movie about a Korean War vet Marine (Clint Eastwood) that gets into trouble but is given a second chance to square up a recon unit. After getting in trouble with the hard nosed CO multiple times, his unit is alerted to become part of the invasion force of Grenada. I won't spoil it for you, but Clint Eastwood is at his best, his usual role Smile . A must-see, the uniforms look pretty accurate from that time. An enjoyable movie, entertaining if nothing else.

Decent movie, but the Cuban uniforms are way off.

    And the bulldozer scene?

In real life, that was none other than John Philip Abizaid who pulled that one off.

    Heartbreak Ridge Empty cuban soldiers

the Russian style helmets worn by the Cuban / Grenada soldiers appeared to be prop helmets, in a scene a soldier falls down in the water and his helmet floats like it's made of fiberglass or light plastic, you can tell it's not a steel helmet because it bobs up & down in the water like it's extra light weight.
