I saw a Black one of these the other week, a Jacket not a Smock, identical to the one above, it was pretty awesome but for £35...it was a no no.

The ripstop does not hold up as well as the temperate ones does it?

Hi Mate thanks for looking, Well I suppose technically Ripstop is supposed to be a stronger material than plain weave material, But I have heard rumours that these Ripstop versions are a bit crap in comparison to the later S2000 versions, I don't know from first hand experience to be fair, but as biased as I am all Brit clothing is as tough as old boots as far as I'm concerned...but then again there was those P85 Jackets that fell apart

The Ripstop version is not as good as the other variants, the first jacket I was issued with was the ripstop one, it does the job, however I prefered the S2005 Smock and subsequently handed my ripstop in. When in the stores, there were tons of smocks and jackets hanging up with huge holes and rips in them, 7/10 of these were ripstops. Shame they were going to be cut up and couldn't be taken, otherwise I'd have had the lot and used them for spares.

I bought one of these for my farther in laws mate for fishing, £10 delivered on eBay. He wears it every time he goes fishing which is 3-4 days a week and 7 plus hours a time. The jacket has taken on a really weird colour now with the sun , it's gone almost tropical dayglow ! It really looks very sexy and I wish I'd have kept it.
