These are claimed to be Czechoslovakian para pants and the reversible side is printed in what appears to be an old "cloud" pattern. Has anyone seen anything like this? I think they may be a homemade or modified item.

Re: Czechoslovakian parachute pants?
These are winter trousers. I have one with Leibermuster cloth inside (at least that's what I remember!). It's been in my collection for maybe 10 years. To me this is the Czechs simply being "thrifty" by using up unused cloth after the original uniform was discontinued.
At least the one you're looking at wasn't incorrectly listed as "reversible" as mine was Or if it is stated as "reversible" do NOT believe it. This is absolutely not a reversible item, no way no how.

Re: Czechoslovakian parachute pants?
Thanks for the heads up, if I can get them cheap I might as well.
BTW, what would you figure a reasonable price be for a reversible smock and pants set in the cloud pattern "Mraky"? It looks to be in very good condition.

They can go for vast differences in cost , I have seen them go for under $100 U.S. to well over $600 at least on ebay .

Re: Czechoslovakian parachute pants?
What Steve said. Unmodified, very good condition... I'd say the price should start around $300 and go up from there. Several years ago I'd say $600 would be the top end, but with things the way they are now I'd say $500 would be the top end.
If it's been modified, I'd not pay more than $150. Reason being all the modified ones have a lot of use on them even if they don't look like it in a picture.

Re: Czechoslovakian parachute pants?
If I am not mistaken , the original jackets should have the gloves/mittens sewn on too the sleeves , this was usually the first thing to be removed , then the hoods if they had them .

Re: Czechoslovakian parachute pants?
I think it was only the "Dubaky" smock that came with the integral hood and mittens.

Re: Czechoslovakian parachute pants?
All three types were identical in terms of the tailoring. The mittens and hoods were removed, as well as other major modifications. When complete the uniforms were no longer reversible (usually).
