Re: Papua New Guinea
Very happy to recently acquire this lightly used PNGDF DPM shirt, probably dated to the 2000's-2010's, made in a copy of the first model Australian DPCU shirt from the late 80's with the straight chest pockets.
Made by Australian Defence Apparel, I've also seen locally PNG made and other foreign country made uniforms.
The pattern is officially called "Kumul", which is what PNG locally calls the Raggiana bird of paradise.
Two years ago (2022), Platatac of Australia was contracted to begin producing a whole new line of uniforms, packs, webbing, and other combat equipment in the Kumul pattern for the PNGDF, intended to replace these older cut uniforms and the mixed plethora of webbing, LBVs, and packs used by the PNGDF, much of which consists of hand-me-down Australian and NZDF equipment.
Soldiersystems.net has an article with photos of what appear to be prototypes of the new uniforms and equipment on display at an event in 2022 for those interested in seeing them.
Note the extensive usage of old DPCU and NZDPM equipment. Many uniforms even have DPCU rank insignia on them!
Enjoy!

Re: Papua New Guinea
Was very surprised and happy to find this rather elusive PNGDF woodland shirt, in nearly or maybe entirely unused condition.
A straightforward, pretty honest copy of the US woodland pattern and BDU, albeit made of cheaper materials/fabric and with epaulets added, and PNGDF property label.
The PNGDF received small amounts of US woodland BDU's, M65s, and LC-2 webbing and PASGT helmets sometime in the 90's, the woodland pattern of which was copied for awhile and worn alongside DPM but seems to have died out by the 2000's.
Seen especially during the Bougainville Conflict/Papua New Guinea Civil War in the 1990's.
