2002 dated CE goretex

Very nice Henry, love these CCE Goretex Jackets...way superior than anything the Brits have come up with so far!!!!

thanks mate...the goretex is a bot old now, water leaks in from time to time, but very tough set nonetheless

No worries Mate, that's the trouble with Goretex, the bloody seams always seem to leak, cool piece nevertheless

nah its not that, it beacause the goretex if very old (2002), ive heard that goretex waterproofness reduces in time, some claim that goretex is water'resistant' not water proof

Oh, I see what you mean mate, and yeah, Goretex does lose it's waterproofing eventually, you can get spray on/wash in goretex treatments from camping shops...

The best Gortie I've ever owned was made by Berghaus, second to that US issue kit...probably tenth on the list British S95 goretex..load of crap Mate

haha, many people are saying s95 goretex are bad, but at least they do the job, US ECWCS and APECS are really nice, i have a MARPAT one and its pretty neat,

In my opinion US ECWCS are possibly the best waterproofs currently available on the surplus market.

I have the APECS in Digital Tiger and it`s very very good. Much better than the commercial jackets.
