Pretty sure its for PASGT helmets, Ive had one for years but I think they can be used on Mich as well.

Nope, these were for the MICH/ACH's right before the ACU's started being issued.

Why wouldnt i-a lot of people do as its relevant in both the helmet thread and the US Army thread and also not everybody reads both.

MICH/ACH (velcro attachments). I've had mine for about 6 years now. There were two ACH patterns out at the time that I know of. The first was just woodland camo and this. Then along came ACUs.
