USMC 1990 Dated DCU- Somalian used ????

Hi Guys.

I have a question for the USMC experts here,I have been informed this Jacket would have been worn in Somalia in 1990.
Is it possible it might have been worn in the Gulf war the year later, I've never seen any 3 colour USMC photo's during this era, only USAF types:?:

Operation Restore Hope in Somalia was from 5 December 1992 – 4 May 1993, AFTER the Gulf War, not before.

3 Color DCU's were just being phased in during this era, if you look at pictures of Marines in Somalia many of them are wearing a mix of patterns, including 3 color DCU's and 6 Color DBDU vest and helmet covers and gear as well as plain old DBDU's.

You also have to remember that the DLA # does not change year to year, it is just the year that the contract was given. This one was given in 1990, but that does not necessarily mean it is from 1990.

I guess I will never know where this jacket was actually used, I'm just glad to have it.
